Michael Dawidowicz, Rockview Lodge Charolais, Oakey with his Spring Classic $8000 sale topper, Rockview Lodge Lancer (P) (RF).

ONE of the few highlights of this year’s Spring Classic All Breeds bull sale, Toowoomba Showgrounds last week was the Charolais and Hereford sections.

Michael Dawidowicz, Rockview Lodge Charolais, Oakey sold Rockview Lodge Lancer, a polled red factor son of Ascot Eldorado (P) (RF) with excellent carcase and weight-for-age credentials to Peter Stanton, Karingal, Kilcoy for $8000. Mr Stanton was operating through Elders Queensland Livestock manager Paul Holm.

Aderian and Julie Nixon, Weetalabah Herefords, Dulacca also enjoyed success after selling all three, polled easy-doing bulls for a $5333 average to a top of $7000 for Weetalabah Locked N Loaded L076 (P), a quality son of Llandillo Uluru F118 (P) which was bought by Harry and Meryl Henry, Glencoe, Cunnamulla.

Weetalabah Locked N Loaded L076 (P) weighed 806kgs at 21 months of age and scanned 16mm (P8) and 11mm (Rib) and recorded an eye muscle area of 115sq cm.

The Nixon family also offered another son of Llandillo Uluru in Weetalabah Louisiana L006 (P) which was knocked down the same way at the second best Hereford money of $5500.
